Marion-Carl “Squirt” Heath, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his home in Marion, IL, surrounded by family and friends. Though his legal name was Carl, he was known to almost everyone as simply “Squirt” – a name given to him as a little boy.
Carl was born November 17, 1941 to Fred and Hazel (Anderson) Heath in Evansville, IN. They preceded him in death. He attended Ridgway High School before serving in the US Army from 1959 to 1962, where he was stationed in Thule, Greenland. He married the love of his life, Rebecca Kay Martin on September 13, 1969 at Pisgah General Baptist Church in Junction, IL.
A lover of classic cars, he always had an extra oldie or two in the garage that he enjoyed tinkering with. He also enjoyed golfing and serving his Lord through his church, Heartland Christian Church in Marion.
He is survived by wife Rebecca Kay and one daughter, Georgiann (Antonio) Amorin, Barrington, IL. He is also survived by one brother, Ray (Glenda) Heath, Eldorado and two sisters, Mary Ann (William) Baker, Junction and Cheryl (Donnie) Mills, Morganfield, KY, as well as several nieces and nephews.
