Byron Franklin Bullock
TUNNEL HILL-Byron Franklin Bullock, 66, of Tunnel Hill passed away at 10:34 PM, Monday, September 24, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Brother Jim Jackson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Mr. Bullock was born September 30, 1940 in Wayne City, Illinois to Roscoe Franklin and Charlteen (Withrow) Bullock. He married Elizabeth Yow on October 17, 1998 at Cottage Home Baptist Church in Carbondale.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Tunnel Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Galen and Karen Bullock of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Rob Tomlinson of Goreville; granddaughters, Brooke and Carly Bullock and Taylor Baker; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Jane Bullock of Carlyle; sister, Marilyn Cook-Upchurch and husband, Kenny of Tunnel Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Jim Cook.
Mr. Bullock pastored various churches during his 30 years in the ministry. He had a love for farming, livestock and excavation. He enjoyed playing pinochle and pool. He worked as a bookkeeper to apply his mathematical skills.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
