Herrin-Bruce Holliday, 73, passed away at 12:00am on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at his home. Bruce was born on November 7, 1942 in Cobden to William Floyd and Gladys Marie (Deming) Holliday.  He married Charlotte Watson on July 6, 1963 in Carbondale.  She survives of Herrin. Bruce was the former owner and operator of the Holliday Oil Company then he was employed at J.W. Reynolds Memorials.  He attended Christian Covenant Fellowship in Carterville and was an active member of the Marion Lions Club.  Bruce loved his family very much and they loved him and will miss him. Survivors include: Wife-Charlotte Holliday of Herrin Sons: Keith Holliday of Carbondale Randy and Stacy Holliday of Herrin Grandchildren: Jake Holliday and fiancé Harmony Tolbert Shelby Holliday and partner Heather Adams Great grandson-Trystyn Bruce Holliday Mother in law-Ethel Watson Sister in law and brother in law-Marlene and Tom Palmer and their family He was preceded in death by his parents; father in law, Gordon Watson and Keith Holliday’s life partner, Greg Wilkerson. A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on January 9, 2016 at 11am at Christian Covenant Fellowship Church with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
