Brooke Rautenstrauch LAKE OF EGYPT-Brooke Rautenstrauch, 17, of the Lake of Egypt passed away at 8:25 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at County Line Cemetery in Creal Springs with Reverend Richard G. Mohr officiating. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. A Prayer service will be held at 5:00 PM, Tuesday evening. Brooke was born on September 29, 1987 in Carbondale, Illinois to Denis Lee and Cheri Lee (Lucier) Rautenstrauch. Survivors include her parents, Denis and Cheri of the Lake of Egypt; brothers, Neil and Casey; maternal grandparents, Patrick and Shirley Lucier of the Lake of Egypt; paternal grandparents, A. E. and Rosemary Rautenstrauch of Caseyville; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and boyfriend, Blake Summers of Herrin. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Michael Lucier; and cousins, Dean Dameron and Steven Moody. Brooke was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. She had just begun her senior year at Goreville High School. She was an active member of the high school where she had been a cheerleader for 5 years. She loved Art Class with Jane Southard.
