Brenda Darlene Wallis

Brenda Darlene Wallis, age 66, of Cecil, Arkansas, formerly of Marion, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 at Ozark Mercy Hospital in Ozark, Arkansas.

Brenda was born July 10, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Melvin and Margaret (Dempsey) Haseker. In 1968 her family moved to Marion, Illinois and she graduated Marion High School in1975. She worked as an OB Nurse at Marion Memorial Hospital. She married the love of her life, James Earl Wallis on January 7, 1979 in Marion, IL. Brenda enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, fishing and she loved her family. Brenda was a member of Third Baptist Church in Marion, and Elks Lodge #800 in Marion, IL and Board Member of Illinois Elks Children's Care Corporation.

She is survived by her husband James E. Wallis of Cecil, AR; four sons, Jonathan W. (Joann) Wallis of Altus, AR, Michael J. Wallis of Cecil, AR, Robert T. Wallis of Cecil, AR, and stepson Jeffrey L. Wallis of White Hall, IL; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two siblings, Judith Haseker of Marion, IL and William Haseker of Freeman Spur, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin L. and Margaret A. Haseker and one brother, Jimmy Haseker.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16th, 2024 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Blue Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Owens officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Highland Cemetery in Ozark, Arkansas.
