Marion-Brenda Kay James, 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her home.
Brenda was born on September 21, 1943 in Herrin to Orville and Mary Grace (Ferrell) Harris. She married John James on June 30, 1961 in New Dennison.
Brenda attended Pittsburg Freewill Baptist Church. She became a Christian in 1962 at Walnut Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Brenda enjoyed her church family and was well known for taking pictures of parishioners and sharing photos. She loved cooking and was famous for her fried pies.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Matthew James and sister, Virginia Louise
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 10am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. David Milburn and Pastor Eddie Donelson officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
