Blanche Leona Roberts MARION-Blanche Roberts, 83, of Marion passed away at 2:14 PM, Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Herrin Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2008 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Greg Gibbs officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Memorials may be made to the Heartland Christian Church; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Roberts was born on July 23, 1924 in Murphysboro, Illinois to Robert and Sadie (Thompson) Graff. She married Fred Roberts on April 17, 1954 in Murphysboro; together they shared 54 years of marriage. Survivors include brother, Wayne Graff of Murphysboro; nieces and nephews, Mary and David Reiman, Alice and Don Svanda, Robert and Sherry Graff and Bruce and Mary Ann Graff; four great nieces and three great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters; and one brother. Mrs Roberts was a member of Heartland Christian Church in Marion, where she was active in the Berean Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker.
