Billy C. Hudgens MARION-Billy C. Hudgens, 48, of Marion passed away at 2:30 AM, Sunday, September 3, 2006 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Edward “Shorty” Alsip and Pastor Dale Barnhurst. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at McKinney Chapel Cemetery, south of Marion. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Hudgens was born on December 17, 1957 in Marion, Illinois to Charles Eugene and Grace (Newton) Hudgens. He married Carla Howell on December 20, 1981 together they shared 24 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Carla; son and fiancé, Billy Hudgens and Cassandra Mizell of Carterville; son and fiancé, Jonas Hudgens and Sara Stapleton of Pittsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Jeri and Blake Summers of the Lake of Egypt; his pride and joy, granddaughter, Emily Grace Hudgens; and two sisters, Shelby Arrowood of Marion and Melva Arrowood of Paulton. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Hudgens was a tool and dye worker, and he painted Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider. He loved to spend time with his family especially his granddaughter.
