Billy Joe Adamson

Billy Joe Adamson, age 69, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Illinois.

Billy was born January 29, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Mary Juanita Adamson.  Billy grew up and attended school in Chicago.  He joined the US Navy and served  for 12 years, serving during the Vietnam War.  After his discharge, he moved to Southern Illinois where he met and married Debra Arrowood and together they had a daughter Chelsie.  Billy worked at Aisin in Marion as a forklift operator for 10 years.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle (attending Sturgis last year) and spending time with his family and grandchildren. 

He is survived by his daughter, Chelsie J. Adamson of Marion, IL, stepchild Brodie (Kylee) Blades, and Brandi Blades (Alan Davidson) all of Marion, IL; five grandchildren, Remington Adamson, Carter Diefenbach, Kenslee Blades, Zeb Blades, and Phoenix Blades-Davidson; two sisters, Trish (Jon) Taylor of Pittsburg, IL and Judith McCormick of UT and his former wife Debra Arrowood.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Juanita Adamson and two brothers, Steve Adamson and Jerry Choate.

No formal services are arranged for Billy at this time, although the family is planning a Memorial Motorcycle Ride later in this year.

Blue Funeral Home in Marion, Illinois is assisting the family with arrangements.
