Marion-Bill Murrie, 85, passed away at 3:58pm on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Parkway Manor.
Bill was born on May 3, 1931 in Cypress to William and Vada (Goodman) Murrie. He married Mary Day on May 15, 1953 in Anna. She survives of Marion.
Bill was in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict serving on air craft carriers in the Pacific Ocean. He was a founding member of Community of Faith Church. Bill retired from Boatright Electronics. After retiring from Boatright Electronics he purchased the company and turned it into Murrie Electronics.

Son-William Scott Murrie and fiancé Monica McGinley of Marion
Son-Douglas and Debbie Murrie of Murphysboro
Grandchildren-Andrew Scott and Kelly Murrie; Jessica and Gusti Yudhistira; Amanda Murrie and Collin Murrie
Great grandchildren-William Evan Murrie and Cohen Yudhistira
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 4pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Dave Maragni and Rev. Josh Benitone officiating. Visitation will also be on Sunday from 2pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
