Betty Jean Hiller GOREVILLE-Betty Jean Hiller, 80, of Goreville, passed away at 12:55 AM, Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Herrin Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend Tim Woodard and Reverend Alan Milligan officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday September 8, 2006 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. Burial will be at Lipe Cemetery in Makanda. Memorials may be made to Goreville United Methodist Church Building Fund, American Cancer Society, Hospice of Southern Illinois, and the American Heart Association; envelopes are available at the funeral home, or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Hiller was born on December 20, 1925 in Carbondale, Illinois to Teddy and Irene (Wright) Crawshaw. She married Hugh Hiller on February 14, 1943 At Union Hill Christian Church in Carbondale. Survivors include her Husband, Hugh Hiller of Goreville; daughter, Jeannie Cook of Goreville; son and daughter-in-law Howard and Theresa Hiller of Fair Play, South Carolina; daughter and son-in-law Mary and Burle Osterhout of Vienna; daughter and son-in-law Carol and Wendell Loban of Coldspring, Texas; and son Jonathan Hiller of Anna. Eleven Grandchildren, seven Great-Grand children with two on the way. She is also survived by sisters Louise Doetch of Marion; Virginia Chamness of Pickens, South Carolina; sister and brother-in-law Doris and Ralph Dover of De Soto; brother Bobby Crawshaw of Carbondale; sister and brother-in-law Jeanette and Philip McGee of Makanda; sister Joann Cargine of Des Planes; Sisters and brothers-in-law Violet and Harold Covington and Anna Mary and Everett Rushing all of Carbondale, and several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Charles Cook, brother-in-laws Willie Doetch, Delbert Chamness, and John Cargine. Mrs. Hiller was a member of the Goreville United Methodist Church, she was an artist, a 4H leader for many years, a wonderful cook, gardener, seamstress, singer and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
