Bettie Mayer

Marion-Bettie June Lannom Mayer, 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Bettie was born on August 24, 1929 in Marion.  She was the daughter of Howard Tapley Lannom and Juanita Marie Nelson.  Bettie had one brother, Howard Lavern Lannom.  She married Gene Mayer in 1946 in Piggott, AR.  They shared nearly 60 years of marriage.  Gene preceded her in death on June 30, 2006. Bettie was an avid golfer, member of the bridge club and loved spending time with family and friends.  She loved her family more than anything.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the most important thing to her. Survivors include: Son-Larry Mayer and wife Becky Grandchildren: Jeff Mayer and wife Tabatha Barbara Mayer and husband Nick Reskusic Jennifer Wade and husband Sean Michael Mayer Dave Mayer and wife Amanda Great grandchildren: Sydney, Carly and Isabella Mayer Arijana, Sophia and Katie Reskusic Jackson and Olivia Wade Maddox and Quinn Mayer She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A visitation will be held at a later date due to the family traveling.
