Bettie Gold

Bettie was born Sept. 11, 1942 in Trumann, Arkansas to Russell and Lova (Busch) Williams. She married Donald W. Gold on March 21, 1958 and he survives in Marion. She is also survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sara Michele and Brad Swan of Marion, son Steve M. Gold and his finance, Lori Amerman of Carbondale, granddaughters Ashley and Allison Swan of Marion, sister, Donna Waggoner of Owasso, Oklahoma, brother, Johnny Williams of Thayer, Missouri, brother-in-law, Don Alexander of Carbon Hill, Alabama, father-in-law and his wife, Roy and Elva Gold of Marion, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both her parents, step-father, Shelby Humphrey, sister Wanda Alexander and mother-in-law, Nancy Evelyn Gold. Bettie was a homemaker and volunteered her time to many causes, most recently Marion Memorial Hospital and later Heartland Regional Medical Center. She loved to read, spend time with her family and care for the many pets the family had over the years.
