Bernice Kneezel

Marion-Lillian “Bernice” Kneezel, 92, passed away at 9:20am on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at her home. Bernice was born on November 14, 1921 in Morley, MO to William and Eva (Boden) Penrod. She married William Kneezel on January 9, 1943 in Benton, MO. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1988. Bernice attended the First Church of God. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and quilting. She will be missed by all. Survivors include: Daugther-Jane and William Reynolds Daugther-Pam and Joe Dean Stritzel Son-Billy Kneezel Daughter-Kathy and David Tanner Daughter-Margaret Gwaltney Brother-Bob Penrod 10 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; one sister; daughter, Janet Emery and one grandchild. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Egyptian Memorial Gardens. Visitation will also be on Monday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL 62959.
