Benjamin Dew Fuller Elizabethtown-Benjamin Dew Fuller, 58, went to be with his Lord & Savior at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at his residence. Upon his wishes, his body was cremated and a Memorial service will be held, including Masonic Rites, on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Honeycomb Church of God with Pastor Harold Miller officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date at Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family. Benjamin was born August 26, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, son of the late Howard Thomas “Tom” & Louise (Rider) Fuller. He graduated from Riverview Gardens High School, and then honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1971-1979; becoming a Vietnam War Veteran. He was a dual member of the Crestwood Anchor Lodge No. 443 in St. Louis and Equality Anchor Lodge No. 2; also being a Mason for 37 years. For 21 years he owned and operated Benjamin’s Hair Design in Harrisburg. For the past 14 years he was employed by the Illinois Department of Corrections as a correctional officer in Vienna. He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Melinda (Barger) Fuller; step-children, Jedd Harper of Harrisburg & Joddie Harper of MO; step-grandchildren, Hayley and Riley Harper of Harrisburg; brothers, Bill Smith, Tom & Karen Fuller and John & Danae Fuller; sisters, Dayla Wood, Dotty McAnally and Norma & Tony Kivett; mother-in-law, Mary Stack; brothers-in-law, Cliff & Sherry Barger, Stan & Lisa Barger and David & Arlie Barger; sisters-in-law, Cindi & Ken Caron and Madeara Barger. Ben was a loving Uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.
