Barry Frey

Barry D. Frey Marion-Barry D. Frey, 66, of Marion passed away at 6:30 AM, Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 1 PM at Meneese Cemetery south of Marion with Reverend Mike Hood officiating. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Blue Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements. Barry was born July 2, 1944 in Williamson County to Marshal & Amanda (Kelton) Frey. He married Kathy Meneese in Marion, IL on July 31, 1970. She survives. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Melissa & Sara Frey, both of Marion; three sisters; five brothers and mother-in-law, Kathleen Meneese of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers & sisters and father-in-law, Robert Meneese. Barry was a member of the Scottsboro Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and raising and training beagles. He worked as a coalminer for many years with Peabody, Ziegler Coal and Old Ben coal companies.
