Barbara McCourt

Barbara Darlene "Dolly" Girtman McCourt, 67 of Goreville, passed away at 715am on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Graveside Funeral Services will be on Friday, February 21 at 10:00am at Cana Cemetery in Goreville with Reverand RG Null officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to the family. Envelopes will be available during services or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.

Mrs McCourt was born in Goreville on July 10, 1953 to Charles and Thelma Margaret Girtman. Her first marriage was to Larry G Brock  with whom she had 3 children. Darlene was married to David McCourt in Paducah, KY in 1999. 

Darlene is survived by her children, Barbara J Brock and Bobby G. Brock of Sebring, FL and Laurie and Charles Howard of Goreville; Grandchildren:  Sarah Brock, Gracie Brock, Charles Howard, Jr., David Howard, Conner Howard, and Allyssa Howard.  Brothers: Dennis, Daniel, and Marshall. Sisters: Beverly Johnson, Charlene McGlone, Mae Yarbor, Louise Girtman, Marsha Bartlett, and Gwendolyn Jones; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in -law, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband David McCourt, her parents, and brother Douglas Girtman.

Mrs McCourt was a Bookeeper and 1 class away from her Accountant degree. loved to read, watch true crime shows and spending time with her grandchildren
