Audrey Elaine Jenkins

Goreville-Audrey Elaine Jenkins, 77, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Herrin Hospital. Audrey was born on February 16, 1939 in Metropolis to Herbert and Marjorie (Jackson) Davis.  She married Herman Jenkins on June 19, 1955.  He survives of Goreville. Audrey worked at the Egyptian Drive-In and the Goreville Food Market.  She enjoyed painting, working on arts and crafts and spending time with her family. Survivors include: Husband-Herman Jenkins of Goreville Daughter-Katrina and Scottie Jeter of Marion Grandchildren-Tim and Amber Gower of Goreville and Jordan Jeter of Marion Two great grandchildren-Nick Gower and Timmy Gower Sister-Kay and Bill Reynolds of Chester Brothers-Jerry and Deanna Davis of Crab Orchard and Alan and Jill Davis of Decatur Sister-in-law-Barbara Jenkins of Marion Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Carl Jenkins Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating.  Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N.
