Annie Hawes

Annie Mae Hawes, 73 of Jonesboro, Illinois returned to the Lord on February 15, 2025. 

Annie was born a fighter; she was the life of the party. She was born with a heart condition that she battled with all the way up until her passing but it made her strong. She was also a dialysis patient; she inspired so many others around her. She taught us all an important lesson, that the true meaning of unconditional love exists in a world where it's scarce. She loved Jesus so much!! She would spread the Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ everywhere she went. She was a brave and tough warrior, whose memories will last a lifetime. 

Annie is survived by her daughter Megen Rundles Perkins, son in law Anthony Perkins Jr., Brenda Taylor Perkins, Ayesha Perkins, Antonio Taylor, she is survived by her four sisters, Rose Powell, Bessie Pleasant, Francis Harris, Bertha Garner, all the in laws, nieces & nephews, and cousins. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross.
