Anna Mae Murphy MARION-Anna Mae Murphy, 73, of Marion passed away at 6:25 PM, Monday, August 24, 2009 at Fountain Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Jerry Schell officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Moulton Cemetery, south of Marion. Anna Mae was born April 19, 1936 in Spokane, Washington to Alan Stanley and Verla Vincent. She married Vernon Murphy on June 4, 1954 in Puyallup, Washington; he preceded her in death on February 7, 1997. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, William Taft and Susan Murphy of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Bob Gibbs of Johnston City; grandchildren, James Murphy, Orlie Murphy, Adam Carter, John Gibbs and Kevin and Pam Gibbs; and brother, Stanley Vincent, Jr. of Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Margaret Murphy; and son, Danny Leroy Murphy. Anna Mae was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching her soaps.
