Anna Mae Jones MARION- 8220;Anna Mae Jones, 79, of Marion passed away at 10:45 AM, Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Fountains Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 5, 2008 at Paul’s Chapel Baptist Church in Marion with Pastor Virgil Walton officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday at the church. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Mrs. Jones was born August 28, 1928 in Marion to Wilbur and Mary (Nancy) Griffin. She married Israel Jones Sr. on June 26, 1948 in Marion; together they shared 59 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband, Israel of Marion; her children, Ronald Gene Jones of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Israel Jones, Jr. of Portland, Oregon, Robert K. and Earlie Jones of Marion, William Gregory Jones of Tampa, Florida, Anthony Ray “Tony” and Janet Jones of Newborn, Tennessee, Kathy Jones of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Kimberly Ann Jones of Marion; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of Paul’s Chapel Baptist Church in Marion. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
