Anna G. Ledford MARION-Anna G. Ledford, 92, of Marion passed away at 1:44 AM, Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Richard G. Mohr officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Mrs. Ledford was born on August 4, 1915 in Tyler, PA to Frank and Irene (Manfredo) Geraci. She married Lowell “Sam” Ledford on August 20, 1955; together they shared 52 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband Sam of Marion; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Wanda Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and one sister. Mrs. Ledford was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. She was employed by the Marion VA Hospital in the admitting office one week after the hospital opened and later as a teller at the Bank of Marion for 22 years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Marion Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
