Anita J. Asbury MARION-Anita J. Asbury, age 68, formerly of Marion, Illinois passed away at 12:15 AM, Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Texsan Hospital in San Antonio Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Buncombe with Mr. Neal Asbury officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Anita is survived by one son, Patrick Coffman of Marion; two granddaughters, Stacey and Jeri Coffman both of Sesser; and sister, Bonnie and Gregory Strass of Loves Park. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Watts and her husband, Albert “Phil” Asbury. Anita was well known in the Southern Illinois area. She had worked for Holiday Inn and Red Lobster for many years. Anita will be greatly missed by family and many, many friends.
