Allen R. Little CARRIER MILLS-Allen R. Little, 50, of Carrier Mills passed away at 9:15 AM, Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family. He fought a long brave battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 8, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church in Marion. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Prayer Garden; envelopes will be available at the church or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Little was born on May 31, 1956 in Hammond, Indiana to Ben and Lola (Lindsey) Little. He married Debbi Pace on January 10, 1974 in Marion; together they shared 32 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Debbi of Carrier Mills; daughter, Sandra Roye of Fayetteville, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Carol Little of Marion; son, Matthew Colboth of Herrin; granddaughter, Katelyn Roye; brother and sister-in-law, Caroll and Mary Cook of Marion; sister, Linda Lyerla of Marion; brother and sister-in-law, Bennie and Jeannie Lambert of Johnston City; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Roy Lambert of Belleville; and many nieces and nephews, for which he was a father figure for many of them. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Little; and sister, Mary Dunn. Mr. Little was employed at Maytag for 30 years. He attended the First Presbyterian Church in Marion. He loved to hunt, fish and work in his yard.
