Alice June Anderson

Marion-Alice June Anderson, 77, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at her home. Alice was born on May 29, 1941 in Creal Springs to Floyd and Marjorie (Breeden) Powell. She married William Anderson on September 2, 1971.  He preceded her in death on March 28, 2006. Alice loved Jesus and was a fine Christian example to all those who knew her. Survivors include: Daughter-Amber and Jeremy Deaton of Creal Springs Grandchildren-Sgt. Tyler and Mikkala Deaton of Oceanside, CA and Brett and Josh Pape of Creal Springs Great grandson-Bennett Deaton of Oceanside, CA Sister-Donna and Pete Glodjo of Marion Four sisters in law Several nieces, nephews and cousins She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Lyman Powell; special nephew, Adam Glodjo and several brothers and sisters in law. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 2pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ben Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Simmons Cemetery in Creal Springs.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 12pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
