Alda Lee “Bunny” White
MARION- Alda Lee “Bunny” White, 61, of Marion passed away at 5:53 AM, Friday, January 26, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Paul Lee officiating and Bill White will give the eulogy. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Herrin City Cemetery. Mrs. White was born on July 20, 1945 in Portland, Oregon to Max M. and June M. (Scouton) OâTey. She married John R. White on July 14, 1979 in Gig Harbor, Washington; together they shared 27 years of marriage.
Survivors include her husband, John of Marion; sons and daughter-in-law, Douglas J. and Rina Impey of Belfair, Washington and William A. White of Puyallup, Washington; godson, Kyle Hawkins of Gig Harbor, Washington; her chosen sisters, Sandi Shepherd and Marla Hawkins and their families in Washington; sisters, Bonnie Lowe, Barbara Davis and Daveline Easterly and many other special relatives and close friends she made in Southern Illinois, Washington and California.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. White worked with the Civil Service, both in Illinois and Washington, retiring from the Marion VA Medical Center, Human Resources Department. After graduating from high school in Coos Bay, Oregon, she served her country with the United States Navy WAVES from 1963 to 1966.
She loved traveling with her husband, John, especially cruising to the Caribbean as often as possible. Her other interests were reading, TV, volunteering and spending time visiting with family and friends.
