Albert Rolens

Goreville-Albert Rolens, 86, passed away at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Marion Rehab & Nursing. Albert was born on April 2, 1927 in Kennett, Missouri to Bill and Edith (Stirgion) Rolens. He married Elsie Young on April 17, 1970. She survives of Goreville. Albert was a WWII veteran of the Army. He retired from International Harvester and loved to sing in different places in Southern Illinois. Survivors include: Wife-Elsie Rolens Children: Jerry Rolens Charlotte and Gene Longfield Robert and Judy Rolens Michael Rolens Deborah and Paul Stahulak Katherine Ray Sherry and Charlie Malone Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren Brother-Larry Rolens He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Vincent Ray; great-grandson, Albert James; one brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 11am on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Chaplain Michael LaMay officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
