Marion- Afton Faye Collier, 97, of Marion, passed away at 12:06 AM, Friday, June 12, 2015 at Angel Acres in Marion.
Afton was born on July 22, 1917 in WilliamsonCounty to William and Alice (Dorris) McKinney. She married Truman Collier in 1939 in Paducah, KY. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1971.
She was a homemaker who cared for her family and worked briefly in the Marion High School Cafeteria. She was a longtime member of the former Scottsboro Church of God and was a Sunday school superintendent there for many years.
Afton enjoyed gospel music, traveling to different places with her family and most of all, fishing at any of our areas lakes and ponds. She will be missed by those that knew and loved her.

Daughter- Connie Odum and husband Fred of Marion
Son- Dr. Stephen Collier of Louisville, KY

Melinda Milauskas and husband Tom of Batavia, IL
Michael Odum of Glendale Heights
Great Grandchildren:

Sister in law- Alma McKinney of Marion
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister- May Rader and three brothers- Earl, Ralph and Lloyd McKinney.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at FreedomCemetery south of Marion. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Monday, at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.
