H. Wayne Lee

MARION - H. Wayne Lee, 87, passed away at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, in Saline Care Center in Harrisburg. There will be private graveside services. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. H. Wayne Lee was born to Paul Ralph Lee and Ruby Lee Watson on March 2, 1925, in Cairo. He married Marilyn Edwards on Nov. 20, 1965, and she survives of Marion. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Marion; children, Becky and Woody Scherer, Valarie and Joe Zdankiewicz; grandchil-dren, Kristen Lee Scherer, Danny Scherer, Shane and Heather Zdankiewicz and Cody Lee Zdankiewicz and Olivia; and one great-grandchild on the way. H. Wayne Lee was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Deverell; and brother, Robert Lee Douglas. Mr. Lee retired from Sears in 1987. He served as a gunner on B24s in the US Army Aircorp. He was an active member of the Sky Squire Club. He will be greatly missed.
