Brian Elijah Copher, 57, of Marion, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 6, 2021 at 8pm, at the home of his sister, surrounded by loved ones at his side, after a long illness.

Brian was born on October 26, 1963 in Marion to Carl D. and Marsha K. Burnett.

Brian was the owner of The Book Cellar and he successfully ran the business for 24 years.

Mother-Marsha Burnett

Sister-Tina Holland and husband Larry Holland of Marion

Brother-C. Matthew Burnett and wife Tami Burnett of Marion

Nieces and nephews:

Dylan Holland

Hailey Holland

Brandon Burnett

Elijah Burnett

Many, many cousins

Besides his loving sister who adored him, he is also survived by very special friends who loved him dearly, as he did them-David West, Charles Fox, James Reed, David Foster, Brent Eckert and Treva Purnell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Burnett; grandparents, Elijah and Helen Howerton and Emery and Helen Burnett; uncles, Arthur Evans, Jim Dalton, Lindell Mitchell, Marion Burnett and Randall Harkrider; aunts, Helen Ruth Morelock, June Mitchell, Wilma Lee Harkrider and Barbara Lindsey.

Brian’s wishes were to be cremated.  No services will be held at this time.  Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.

    I went to grade school with Brian. He was always a sweet kind person. We lost touch later on in life but my memories of him always made me smile. I’m sorry for your loss.
