My deepest sympathy goes out to my Sister, Linda, Nieces, Darla and Lisa and my Nephew Buddy. And the rest of the family during this time of grief. Gene was more my brother than my brother in law. We were kids when each of us married, and we grew up together in the family. I have many many fond memories with Gene. He will always live in our hearts.

My heart aches for all of you. More, because I can’t be there. Gene was more like a brother than a brother in law. I was 21 years old when he came into our family. I have nothing but fond memories of him, and they are many. To the family, I would offer a word of encouragement: be comforted in knowing that he is now in the Presence of Jesus, rejoicing without any restraints. No machines, no walker. Waiting for the rest of us to join him, all in God’s time. My prayers will continue for all of you.

I remember Gene passing out mints at church. He and Linda also sent birthday cards to various church members. My condolences to his wife and family. May he forever rest and be at peace. Such a nice family!
