Mr. Casper was a great Band teacher at Goreville High! Our children, Greg, Natalie and Monty were his students. He had a large band in the 70’s. Our children played trombone and oboe. They love music today! Greg even sang in the National FFA Chorus. Thank you Mr. Casper!

Curt was one of my best Band Director Friends. He took me under his wings and mentored me as a new teacher. It was a joy to play with him in the Southern Illinois Concert Band and visit. I will miss my friend.

Mr. Casper was the person who introduced me to making music. To say the effect he had on my life was profound would be a HUGE understatement. I make my living repairing instruments now, and it all started with that first band class at Goreville. He came in the store in Paducah that I was working at a couple years ago and we got to catch up a bit. He will be missed. Rest in peace, my friend and mentor, until we meet again.
