    Unspeakable sadness.
This world was a better place while Corey was here.
Where his spirit now resides is a better place because he is there.
May our loving Lord hold the soul of this dear boy in the palms of His hands and give him peace.

My beloved grandson, you are such a huge part of my heart and life. I cherish all the time we have had together playing golf, fishing, camping, riding the four wheeler, side by side, hunting and just talking. There will be nowhere that I turn that I won’t see you, your smile and your laugh. You have touched so many peoples hearts and I know they are better, as am I, for having this short amount of time with you. I know Jesus is holding you in his arms.

So extremely sad. I am grateful for the opportunity to spend a little time with Corey last September. So unfortunate to lose such a young and wonderful soul. I pray for all of my family so that they do not suffer; only heal, knowing that he is in a better place.

My dearest Corey. Words can not express how sad I am about our family losing you. You will be greatly missed. I couldn’t have picked a better young man that grew up with my daughter and became her first true love. Fly high Corey…until we meet again. We love you

Corey, as I sit here and write this I can’t forget the day you were born. Your mom had a hard delivery and I cried as you were being born. Hoping that you would come into this world safe and sound. You did. And the day that Jenny and I sat on the couch with you laying on my chest while I felt your soothing breathe as you slept and I cried. My words to your mother “He’s so beautiful. He’s going to grow up to be so handsome”. You were. There have been so many tears during your life. How you grew, your compassion for people, your extreme happiness at meeting my son, sad times, and some of the happiest. I cried the day you came into this world and I have cried every day since you left it. Things will never feel the same without you. I truly hope you have found the existence and peace that only you deserve. Please know my nephew, that my tears will forever be in honor of your life. I am so grateful to have even known you for 5 minutes….let alone the 17 wonderful years I had with you.

When I first met Corey, he greeted me as though he’d known me all his life. He had that warm, friendly smile with just a hint of mischief. He immediately impressed me as a such wonderful young man. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have met him and my heart breaks for his family for such a loss.

We’ll miss your physical presence, Corey, but your spirit will live on.

Corey was such a kind hearted young man. He was thoughtful, respectful and such a joy to know. My son Levi played golf with him at Crab Orchard for several years and I got to know him there. Levi is sad that he is gone. My heart aches for the entire family as does Levi’s. God bless you all and I know that there is a very special angel in the hands of our Lord.
