    To Doc’s family & friends.
I never met or knew Doc. While reading the obituaries online today, Doc’s photo appeared. I want the family to know that even though this is a very sadden time in your heart, looking at Doc’s photo filled my heart with joy even before I read his obituary and seen what a wonderful man he was that enjoyed life and loved his family and friends. I only wish I could have known him too. May God give you peace for your great loss. Phillipians 4:7

Charles was an ambassador for the fitness and running community in southern Illinois. He was so helpful in many of the events sponsored by the River-2-River Running Club. I enjoyed running with him, especially the midnight relay across central Illinois carrying an American flag! Sorry you had to leave us so soon.

Doc will be greatly missed. He would always ‘fit’ me in when I would come back to Illinois to visit. He was a wonderful doctor and a great friend. I will miss his humor and pranks during the holiday seasons. God bless Doc and his family.
