MARION-Richard L. Johnson, 46, of Marion passed away at 1:15 PM, Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Jerry Schell officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made in his memory to his family; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion Il 62959.
Richard was born on August 4, 1963 in Waukegan to Gus and Sue Ellen (Smothers) Johnson.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Sheba Johnson of West Frankfort; daughter, Candace Johnson of Crab Orchard; grandchildren, Mariah Johnson and Canden Gentry; mother, Sue Ellen Johnson of Herrin; and sisters and brother-in-law, Kim and Steve Childress of Herrin and Selena Hancock of Pittsburg.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Richard enjoyed fishing, riding 4-wheelers and his motorcycle.
