HERRIN- Ermia Padgett, 88, of Herrin passed away at 2:50 PM., Monday, June 2, 2008 at Friendship Nursing Home in Herrin.
In respect with Ermia’s own personal wishes her body will be cremated and there will be no services. Blue Funeral Home is in charge. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.
Mrs. Padgett was born on January 16, 1920 in Thompsonville to George and Ethel (Barlow) Hayes.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Loretta Hayes of Marion; nephews, Steve Hayes of Harrisburg and David and Wanda Hayes of Marion; nieces, Charlene Lillich of Goodyear, Arizona and Gwen Handegan of Lone Oak, Kentucky; great nieces, Steph and Nikki Hayes of Belleville; and several great great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters; three brothers; and one niece.
Mrs. Padgett was a homemaker.
