MARION- Karol Burns, 57, of Marion passed away at 7:35 AM, Friday, November 23, 2007 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Shiloh Cemetery south of Marion with Reverend John Parton officiating. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery. Blue Funeral Home of Marion Illinois will be in charge of all arrangements. Memorials may be made to Marion Regional Humane Shelter; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.
Karol was born August 14, 1950 in Carbondale, Illinois to B.R. and Erma L. (Hagler) Parker. She married John Burns on February 14, 1972.
Survivors include Husband, John Burns of Marion; daughter Kelli Lavender of Marion; granddaughter Katie Lavender of Marion; nephew Jeff and Melanie Pecord of Marion; great nieces and nephew Taylor, Chelsea and Brennan Pecord; and her miniature schnauzer “Buddy”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Linda Pecord.
Mrs. Burns was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Christian Church. She was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother, and will be missed by all.
