MARION- Rosa Wear, 72, of Marion passed away at 7:30 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Fountain Nursing Home in Marion.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 20, 2007 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Keith Owens and Reverend Kenny Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, November 19, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.

Rosa was born May 3, 1935 in Marion, Illinois to Virgil James and Ellen Mae (Brush) Marks. She married Jerome Wear on June 8, 1956 in Marion; he preceded her in death on June 2, 2000.

Survivors include son, Jerome Wear, Jr. and his friend, Marylynn Perschbacher of Johnston City; son, Jay Wear and his friend, Carol Little of Carterville; grandchildren, Jennifer Kay Wear, Jessica Kalynn Wear, Nicole Elizabeth Robinson, Jerome Wear, III, Crystal McCrady and Aaron Little; great grandchild, Autumn Faith Norman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Nancy Marks and Lloyd and Mary Marks; sisters, Ruth Marks and Stella Childers; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Becky Jack.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brother, Vernon Marks.

Rosa was a longtime member of Scottsboro Baptist Church. She was a member of the Williamson Home Extension Program. She was a homemaker.
