Ellen L. Hart, 79, of Marion passed away on Thursday February 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM at her home with her family by her side.
Funeral services for Ellen are scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Shorty Alsip officiating. A time of gathering for family and friends will precede the services starting at noon and lasting until the service hour. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Marion. Blue funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ellen was born on Monday, May 23, 1932 in Marion to Herbert & Mary (Kelly) Jackson. She married Clifford Hart who precedes her in death.
Mrs. Hart is survived by her children, Linda Holman of Marion, Ed Hart of Herrin, Mary Simpson of Marion, Robert Hart of Herrin, Donna Gritman of Dykersburg and Teresa Hart of Marion; grandchildren, Traci, Melissa, Desiree, Marcia, Alicia, Terry, Donnie, Joanie and Rhianna; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Smith of Marion, Rosalie Vachata of Herrin and Linda & Tony Holmes of Crab Orchard and best friend, Margie Powell of Marion.
Ellen is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sue Ellen Hart; grandchildren, Edward Lee McGee and James Hart; great-grandchild, Brittany Boatright and brothers, Billy Jackson, Kenneth Jackson and infant brother, Robert Lee Jackson.
