Marion--Bobby Ward, 85, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 7:50 AM in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:00 PM in Rose Hill Cemetery with Reverend Ivan Ryan officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to Shriner’s Hospital. Envelopes will be provided during services or may be mailed C/O Blue Funeral Home PO Box 411 Marion 62959.
Bobby was born on Wednesday, November 17, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to Hardy & Sarah (Burton) Ward. He was united in holy matrimony to Rae Ann Hancock in Marion on July 17, 1976; she survives.
Mr. Ward is survived by his wife, Rae Ann; children, Bruce Ward, Bill & Debbie Ward and Mary Kaye & Rick Little; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Ward served as a United States Marine during WWII and the Korean Conflict. As a civilian he worked as an electrician in the construction industry. Bobby was a Mason and a member of the Williamson County Shrine Club.
