Ralph “Sonny” Price
JOHNSTON CITY-Ralph “Sonny” Price, 53, of Johnston City passed away at 10:25 AM, Monday, August 16, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Blue Funeral Home in
Marion with Brandon Sims and Joshua Price officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available through the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.
Sonny was born August 11, 1957 in Marion to Archie and Ida Mae (Copher) Price.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Misty Price of Marion; daughter, Katie Price of Carbondale; grandchildren, Marissa, Kolten and J.P.; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Shannon Tolbert; grandchildren, Haley and Harmony; brothers, Marvin Chase and Gary Price; sisters, Glenda Simmons, Toni Asbell, Pamela Garner and Sandra Norris; several nieces and nephews; and ex-wives, Beth Holsinger and Rita Tolbert.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry and Paul Price; and sisters, Mary Polak, Wilma Price and Barbara Price.
Sonny was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed NASCAR and professional wrestling.
