We were friends for 50 years, and shared a love for music since playing in band together as kids. Joe always had a good word and a smile. We enjoyed sharing hunting and fishing stories, wild game recipes, and talking theology.
Going to miss Joe, but I’ll see him again, in a happier time.

Dear Andrea: My heart aches for you! You were truly blessed to have the love of this precious man, as he was to have your love. May the Lord strengthen you in the bleak days ahead. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

I had Joe in my SS Class at Harvey’s Church in Brighton IL. Joe has ALWAYS been such an encouragement to me. Recently I was called on to present the Eulogy for a special friend-my first time ever. I messaged Joe for prayerful support. He vowed to pray for me at the exact time I was to speak. The Holy Spirit was so present with me and I KNEW because Joe had my back! Joe was Sooo humble, full of wisdom, talented, and a fantastic gardener – EXPERT indeed! I will miss my “Godly Friend” and his texts. My Love and Prayers for ” The Peace That Passeth All Understanding” to be with Andrea, Harvey & Pam, as well as ALL the Family and Friends of Joe. I wish I could be at your Memorial Joe and share in your Eulogy. Your leaving is truly bitter/sweet. See you in “The City” (Please put in a good word for me Brother) 😢😊

Me and joe mack were good buddies and class mates thru the 8th grade as i left marion after my 8th grade year. Used to go down to the marion country club and spend the night back in the day and ride mini bikes and fish as always was a good time. I did not see much of him after 8th grade but so many good memories of hanging with him in our school years as he will be missed for sure. My condolences to his family as he was a special one.

Words are just not enough to express how special Joe was, and what a shock it was to hear of his transition into God’s presence.
He was special. We would chat often of heavenly things….God ordained moments, mission trips and things of the Lord.
He had a special way of sharing his faith, and showing his love for Jesus in everything he did.
His journey is now complete. I know he heard the words “well done”.
Save a place at the table for me, Joe, for we shall surely meet again.
Andrea, my thoughts and prayers will be with you as you navigate through your sorrow.
Take comfort in knowing that he will be waiting for you with the biggest smile on his face!
    He will be missed.

Joe graduated and is with our Lord and Savior. As Christians yes we get sad but have joy that we are temporarily here and will unite for eternity with our brothers and sustets in the Lord. What a joyous experience that will be and brings some comfort to the believers who experience the broken heart of such a loss as our good brother Joe. God bless all his family and all who knew him.
